Dr. Kayla Piskorowski

Dr. Piskorowski wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 7-years-old. Her love of animals stemmed from family fishing trips on the Muskegon River, spending countless hours watching Animal Planet, and caring for her childhood dog, Dusty. This passion has continued to grow.

In 2018, Dr. Piskorowski earned a Bachelors in Biology with high distinction from the University of Michigan— GO BLUE! Staying with the Big 10, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. From there, she went on to pursue an emergency medicine internship at Willamette Veterinary Hospital in Oregon. She is especially interested in urgent care, surgery, ultrasound, and cardiology. Though, her favorite part of veterinary medicine is bonding with her patients and their families. Being a teacher at heart, she prides herself on her communication skills. During her clinical rotations, she was honored with the Olson and Severson Student Enrichment Samaritan Award which recognized the 4th year veterinary student who demonstrated compassion and caring while maintaining proficiency in communicating with families of patients. She can’t wait to meet you!

Outside of work, Dr. Piskorowski enjoys yoga, eating homemade ice-cream, downhill skiing, kayaking, and hiking and paddle boarding with her pup, Queso.
