Dr. Nicole Blaha-Wenke
Dr. Nicole Blaha-Wenke is a native to Michigan growing up in Ann Arbor and part-time in Grayling. She had a childhood filled with dogs, cats, horses and a growing curiosity for all species big and small. Although growing up she always had a love for animals, her interest in Veterinary Medicine stemmed from a general interest in medicine, science and patient care while being raised in a medical family. She chose to pursue veterinary medicine due to her love of caring for animals and the people who love them. In 2019, Dr. Blaha earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Saint Mary’s, Notre Dame (Go Irish!). She then left the Midwest behind to explore the mountains of Colorado and earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2023.
Dr. Blaha’s special clinical interests include: preventative medicine, dermatology, ultrasound, pain management and geriatric care. She is especially known for her love of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Labradors! Mostly, she is excited to form relationships with her patients and their loved ones. Now setting her roots in Traverse City with her husband and fur babies, Remy the cavalier and Sigfield the black lab, she is excited to join the SBAH family! When not at the clinic, she enjoys riding her horses, getting lost in a good book, walking/hiking, being on the water and catching up with friends and family. She is looking forward to meeting you all!
